    Changed name to Birla AT&T Communications Limited following joint venture between Grasim Industries and AT&T Corporation.
    In 2000 merged with Tata Cellular Limited and name changed to Birla Tata AT&T Limited.
    In 2002 changed name to Idea Cellular Limited and launched "Idea" brand and reached the one million subscriber mark
    In 2007 successful Initial Public Offering aggregating to Rs. 28,187 million was launched and shares were listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange
    In December 2007, Idea Cellular Limited Reached the twenty million subscriber mark
