    In 2005 pantaloon retail India ltd. Picked a 49% equity in the company
    Planet sports heightened the level of sports retail with its unique formula of merchandise mix, competitive prices, excellent service, and welcoming ambience.
    At present, planet sports has the licensing rights for sportswear brands Wilson, Converse and Speedo.
    At present, there are 45 planet sports stores across the India.

    • Exteriors show the current theme of the store and promotions available at store.

    2. Limit the number of competing elements in the display.
    3. Give the display one dominant theme.
    4. Use contrast and rhythm to add life to the colors and proportion.
    5. Select display props and material having some connection with the exhibited product.
    6. Do not allow the display props and materials to take up most of the best space in the window.
    7. Avoid anything that conflicts with the sales message.
    8. Use colors appropriate to the season.
    9. Do not mix the styles.

    Design is fast becoming a differentiating factor in retail. The store design and layout tells a customer what the store is all about
    Planet sports image is a high class retailer of sports merchandise and it can be seen in its store designs and visual merchandising.
    Stores visual merchandising present color and concept .
    Coordinate merchandise and create an exciting shopping experience for the customer.
    they don’t use any type of scent. For a good shopping experience aroma is also an important tool. They must use it in their stores.
    Stores should be focused towards a particular specified theme and efforts must be done to convey the same through employees’ uniforms.
