3. Since and from refer to the point of time
It has been raining since last night.

4. They lived here from 2000 to 2010.
(Now they are not living here)

5. However , since is used in present perfect and present
perfect progressive tenses . It is used to refer to the point
of time . From refers to point of time as well as the
beginning of an event such journey , duration and length .
We have lived here since 2000.

7. For refers to the period of time.
We have lived here for ten years.
It has been raining for three hours.
