    • How Grading Works
      • The Breakdown:
            • 10% = Warm-ups, Wrap-ups, Bell Ringers
            • 30% = Quizzes
            • 60% = Practice
      • What’ Practice??
        • Classwork, Homework, Group Activities
        • 100 = completes all assignments + great attitude
        • 80 = completes most work + ok attitude
        • 60 = completes some work + sometimes disrespectful
        • Below 60 = does not work + terrible attitude

      • Mr. Nettles was co-captain of his basketball team in high-school.
      • Mr. Nettles was raised by both of his parents.
      • Mr. Nettles went to med school for a week and then decided to become a teacher.
      • NOW GUESS? WHICH ONE IS A LIE?
    • Here are your instructions:
      • Each person prepares three statements, two of which are true and one of which is a lie.
      • In any order, the person shares the three statements to the entire group.
      • The rest of the group votes on each statement, and the person reveals which one is the lie.
    • What is Biology ?
      • Bio means life .
      • Ology means the study of any branch or knowledge of science
      • Bio + ology = the study of life
    • Biology is everywhere!
    • Exploring Biology in the “Real World”
      • How does Biology influence your everyday life?
      • How is Biology related to a job you want to pursue?
      • How has Biology affected someone in your family?
    • Here are your instructions:
      • Use the internet to answer to answer two of the three questions.
      • Write down at least three points for each question.
      • Present to class about what you learned.
    • Wrap-Up Activity
      • Complete Mr. Nettles’s science survey.
      • Ask any final questions you may have.
