    • Look to the Future: Carbon Sequestration & Storage Storage: Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR):  CO2 is taken from refineries as well as other industrial plants and injected into the oil well to lower its viscosity and improve the flow rate.  This technology is used as way to increase the amount of oil that can be extracted from an oil field.  20 – 40% more oil is recovered using this method16
