If payment goes beyond the stated terms, the invoice can then be transferred over to the debt recovery service.Positivecollections.co.uk, which works with MTA Solicitors LLP, aims to help consumers andbusinesses of all sizes to combat the issue of late payments and debt collection. Users are able toupload invoices and use the Credit Control system for free before, if necessary, recovering debtsethically and inexpensively from as little as £10 to get the process moving.Green continues, “The fact that so many businesses in the UK have become accepting of this ‘latepayment culture’ is certainly a cause for concern as this has implications on the whole business

However it is the smaller businesses that take the strain and in the worstcase scenario have to fold.”“Achieving good cash flow and recovering debt as quickly and as smoothly as possible is one of thekey aspects to staying afloat in difficult markets and tight economic times, and we hope the newservices at Positive Collections will help small businesses to do this.”Chasing debts can be a frustrating and often awkward process for many business owners, butseeking legal action is rarely an option for smaller businesses due to the costs associated with it.Using a cost effective service like positivecollections.co.uk, which is linked to a solicitors firm, meansthat businesses are in a good position to handle the case if it reaches the litigation stage. The simple to use service streamlines the credit control and debt recovery process using a step bystep automated approach ensuring the user is always in control every step of the way. Any fees arefixed to a minimum cost and are never incurred without prior agreement from the user. The debt recovery process works by automatically sending a series of up to four letters (costing a totalof £40) and if payment has still not been received it will instruct nationwide firm, MTA Solicitors LLP, toact on its behalf.-ENDS-Notes to editors:Survey carried out by Opinion Matters between 11 / 08 / 2010 and 18 / 08 / 2010 Sample: 261 UKworkersAbout Positive CollectionsPositive Collections is a professional, automated, online credit control and debt recovery servicefor businesses and consumers.
