    1. Fit ‘n’ Well Expansion into New Zealand Fit ‘n’ Well Ltd Striving for a better you!
    2. New Zealand. New challenges and opportunities.  Expansion is the next big step for Fit ‘n’ Well.  It could be a way to further effectively increase revenues.
    3. How is the NZ fitness industry looking?  Fairly strong – 500,000 gym members – 300+ centres throughout the country – Has some well established brands  Les Mills  Club Physical
    4. How will we break into the market?  Fit ‘n’ Well will face a number of issues in trying to become a recognised franchise in New Zealand Fit ‘n’ Well Ltd Striving for a better you!
    5. Location, location, location!  Location will be a key factor in how successful Fit ‘n’ Well is in New Zealand.  Our aim should be to set up in dense cities like Auckland or Wellington. – We should be recognised faster if established in dense cities through word of mouth and advertising.
    6. Pricing. Not too high, not too low.  Membership costs can be delicate. – Too high and we scare away potential members. – Too low and we lose our high class reputation.  Average price of membership in New Zealand is around $500. – We aim for around $600.  Why are we pricing higher than average? – We are a lifestyle gym. – We have friendly staff and modern equipment.
    7. Potential issue: Global Recession  The main question is, how will this affect the companies’ plans of expansion. – Could mean that revenues maybe slower than anticipated.  Fit ‘n’ Well is well established in Australia. – Revenues can still be generated there to fund the expansion and get it moving in New Zealand.
    8. Potential Issue: Competition  New Zealand already has a number of well established gyms. – Les Mills, Club Physical and other sole proprietors  It will take time for Fit ‘n’ Well to be recognised. – Advertising and expanding effectively will speed up this process.
    9. Summing up…  To be successful in New Zealand, Fit ‘n’ Well must build a strong reputation through their modern facilities and friendly staff.  The Global Recession and competitors will pose as draw backs for this venture. However if Fit ‘n’ Well endeavour through this uncertain period, it will surely pay off in the future.
