139 Warm up: Discuss your homework from yesterday. Did your partner choose a song that fit a theme of TV show or movie? Explain. Today’s objective is to identify theme in common stories and movies, and work in a team to answer questions about Romeo and Juliet to develop a class list of themes.
In your groups, quickly discuss the children’s story your are given. On the scrap paper, write your answer about what the theme is. Remember theme is what the author is saying about life. Rotate the envelops and repeat.
