  • 2. Part 3: A Beggar at the ManorOctober 31, 2011 Warm up: What do you predict will happen in this section of the Odyssey? Why? Today’s objective is to read Part 3: A Beggar at the Manor aloud in class and visualize the setting by drawing a picture.
  • 3. Setting notes While you are listening and reading Part 3: A Beggar at the Manor, make a list of any details about the manor and great hall. Note the line number for each note. You need at least five. After reading, review your notes. In your spiral, sketch out what you think the layout of the great hall and manor would look like based on the description.
  • 4. Reflection Were your predictions true? Explain. Why is it important to visualize the setting for the coming events? Explain. Homework: p. 866 #2, 3, and 6.
