Grammar Wednesday August 29, 2012• Warm up: One cover page in your spiral (the one we skipped yesterday) make a web with the words English Class in the middle and at least six ideas from that about what English class means to you.• Today’s objective is to preview the text features of the Grammar and Composition Handbook and identify known and unknown topics.
  • 3. 2 Text Features• In groups, complete the text features worksheet.• Glue into spiral, under warm up.
  • 4. Known/Unknown• Preview the topics and concepts that will be presented in this book.• On the post-its, write several that you know and several that you do not know.• Please your post-its on the board under the correct heading.
  • 5. Exit Ticket• Write the best definition you can for the following for terms without looking at the book. – Sentence – Sentence fragment – Subject – Predicate• Homework: Edmodo permission slip
