Smart guitar chords (2)

  1. 1. Smart Guitar ChordsEvan Minto (CompSci/EMAC 13)
  2. 2. So... Get Smart! Guitar chord database Store, organize, and analyze custom-made chords Provide feedback for songwriters when choosing/creating chords Sortable by nearly any criteria Support for multiple (guitar-like) instruments Maximum input/output format compatibility
  3. 3. Already Done (4/29/11) Instrument/chord creation, deletion Instrument-chord linking Folder manipulation Extracting information (bass note, pattenr) from chord tabs Constructing chord tabs from limited information Auto-complete suggestions while adding/modifying chords
  4. 4. Schedule (5/6/11) Potentially replace folder structure with tagging system (This makes it easier to access the entire database at once) Auto-complete suggestions for a wider variety of chord patterns GREATLY improve documentation
  5. 5. Schedule (5/13/11) Continue to improve auto-complete tool Continue improving documentation Begin implementation of chord matching
  6. 6. Eventually Diversify input/output formats (graphical, MIDI?) Advanced search/filter functions, based on tags, number of strings, key, etc. Possibly move data storage over to something easier to work with, like an actual database or XML
  7. 7. Special Thanks To... Moorthy Sean OSullivan David Doria John Dickinson RCOS
  8. 8. Any Questions?
