    • Hemisphere: West and North HemispheresState Region: Great Lakes Region
    • Landmark:Mount Rushmore,Pallasades NationalPark, & BadlandsMotorcyclingFrom left to right: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
    • Landforms: Mt. Rushmore, Red River, James River, Missouri River, White River, Cheyenne River, Moreau River, Lake Oahe.
    • Tradition: In November they have a festival of lights parade in Rapid City to recharge holiday spirit.
    • Climate: hot summers, extremely cold winters, high winds, and periodic droughts.
