  • Regions1. California is located on the West Coast of the United States.2. California is located in the Pacific Coastal Region.
  • PlaceLandmarks- Yosemite National Park and the Golden Gate Bridge are two popular landmarks in the state of California.Landforms- The Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lake Tahoe are two types of landforms.Traditions- The California State Fair has been held in Sacramento since 1859. The fair is usually held over a two week period during the end of the summer.- The fair includes events such as horse races, music performances, food and carnival rides.
  • Places ContinuedClimate- The desert region has hot summers and cold winters.- The central region has hot summers and cool winters.- The coastal region has mild summers and mild winters.- The mountain region has warm summers and cold winters.
  • MovementTransportation- The Los Angeles International Airport is a major airport in the Los Angeles area and the Port of Los Angeles is a major harbor for boats and cruise ships.
