Horticulture

  2. 2. <ul><li>Students study the history of Horticulture </li></ul><ul><li>They learn about Landscaping and they participate in incursions at school and excursions to a variety of Gardens. </li></ul><ul><li>It has a large practical component and the students grow and monitor their own plants. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Students learn about the parts of plants and the uses of plants – including preparation of food from their own grown produce. </li></ul>
  4. 5. <ul><li>Horticulture is a very useful subject for any student, particularly if they have an interest in Landscaping, Gardens and Agriculture. </li></ul><ul><li>It would also be relevant for students wishing to study Environmental Science or Biology. </li></ul><ul><li>Assessment includes tests, journal reports, class presentations and a final examination. </li></ul>
