2. 2. MOST DRAMATIC: IRAQI WHO THREW A SHOE AT PRESIDENT BUSH

This article is about George w bush. George Bush got shoes thrown at him by Al- Zeidi, a 28 year old unmarried Shiite. Al- Zeidi could face charges of insulting a foreign leader and the Iraqi prime minister, who was standing next it Bush. Al-Zeidi can carry a sentence of up to two years in prison or a small fine. George bush ducked and was not hit when the shoe was thrown at him, and Iraqi security guards tackled al-Zeidi to the ground after he threw the shoes. The secretary of the white house Dana Perino suffered with an eye injury when she was hit in the face with a microphone. Al-Zeidi called president George W. Bush a “dog” in Arabic. In this article it states that al-Zeidi has a boastful, showoff personality. Al-Zeidi’s action and concerned about how he was getting treated in Iraqi custody. Al-Zeidi’s family also showed pride for his act of an American president which Iraqis believe destroyed their country.

This is important because it shows the relationships that united states has with other country's and what they think of our presidents.

 3. 3. MOST CONTROVERSIAL: Abortion?

Do you agree with abortion?

Many people disagree and most people agree. There are some plus sides to abortions and some down sides. Some plus sides is that if you don’t want the child you can get rid of it but put it this way, would you want to take a child’s life away? Would you have liked it if your mother had an abortion with you and you wouldn't be able to live the life your living now? Wouldn't it be worse to end a child's life before they even have a chance to live it? I don’t think so.

What is abortion?

A modern day abortion, or any type of abortion for that matter is murder. It's called killing a child and preventing them from ever being born.

IMPORTANCE

Abortion is important because there are many opinions on it and Obama has a big decision to make weather to make it illegal or legal.

 4. 4. EMBRYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH

President Obama is planning to sign at least one executive order on Monday that will overturn Bush-era policy that limited the types of embryonic stem cell research that can receive federal tax dollars.

What is the embryonic stem cell research?

Embryonic stem cells have a greater potential to be manipulated into long-lasting cells of any type. This would be preferable to getting adult stem cells from each patient and manipulating them. Embryonic stem cell research has more potential than adult stem cell research because embryonic stem cells can become any cell in the body, whereas adult stem cells can only become certain cells.

 5. 5. MOST OUTRAGEOUS: WHY ISN’T PLUTO A PLANET?

Is Pluto a planet?

No, Pluto is not a planet

Why?

The object must be in orbit around the Sun. pluto is not in an orbit around the sun. The object must be massive enough to be a sphere by its own gravitational force. It must have cleared the neighborhood around its orbit. Pluto was found during a search for a planet. It was found in the orbit of Neptune. Originally Pluto was classified under planets, Pluto is now recognized as the largest member of a distinct region called the Kuiper belt.
