  • 2. In this project, we are going to show you three states of the USA: Hawaii, Washington and West Virginia. A tourist guide for these three states to learn something more about them and if you go there, you must know the most important characteristics about their geography, their history, their monuments, their population, their culture, etc.

  • 4. Hawaii is the only state made up entirely of islands: Hawaii which is the biggest, Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Oahu and Kauai. If you go to Hawaii you will be able to feel a lot of sensations. But if you are a new visitor, our six unique islands will offer you different experiences that you had never felt before. We invite you to explore this paradise. There won’t be any secrets for you here. Let’s go to enjoy Hawaii!
  • 5. Washington is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States, adjacent to Canada. Washington State offers many destinations, as varied as its topography to fit the taste of almost any traveler: * The urban traveler will find a host of attractions and activities including concerts, festivals, dance and theatre. * The outdoor traveller will enjoy a wide variety of activities including bicycling, hiking, backpacking, mountain climbing, boating, sailing, kayaking, rafting, skiing, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing.
  • 6. WEST VIRGINIA West Virginia is placed in the north-east of United States. The State is very mountainous. This capital is Charleston. I think that this State is beautiful, it has big mountains and a rich forest. Also the State has a lot of variety of vegetation. And if your you are a fond or professional mountain-climber, you would have to be interested in this country and its mountains.

  • 8. ·The Hawaiian Islands are in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. · All of the Hawaiian Islands were formed by volcanoes. · The tropical climate is consistent and enjoyable.
  • 9. The high mountains of the Cascade Range run north-south, bisecting the state: * Western Washington : The one of the wettest areas in the United States and it has a marine west coast climate. * Eastern Washington : Region of hard volcanic substructure and it has a dry climate.

WEST VIRGINIA -West Virginia is located entirely within the Appalachian Mountain range and all areas are mountainous. -The highest point in the state is atop Spruce Knob, at 1,482 m. -We can find the New River Gorge National River. -Many of the areas are rich in biodiversity and scenic beauty. -West Virginia has a different climate depending on the place where we are.

    • The first settlers of the Hawaiian Islands were Polynesian voyagers.
    • The islands were visited by Europeans in 1778.
    • In 1810 Kamehameha I became the King of all the islands.
    • When Europeans and Americans brought a lot of customs.
    • The missionaries preached Christianity.
    • In 1842, the American GP Judd was the Prime Minister.
    • In 1900, Hawaii became a USA territory.

  • 13. * 1774 - Juan Perez commands the first Spanish expedition. * 1853 - Washington Territory created. * 1861 - The battle at Fort Sumter marks the beginning of the CW. * 1865 - Civil War ends. * 1889 - Washington becomes the 42nd state. * 1914-1918 - World War I. * 1939-45 - World War II. * 1954 - First flight of Boeing 707, first jet transport. * 1975 - Microsoft founded, major producer of computer software. * 1980 - Mount St. Helens erupted in southwestern Washington.
  • 14. WEST VIRGINIA WEST VIRGINIA -West Virginia is placed in the Apalachian and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. -This state decided to separate from Virginia in 1862 during the American civil war. One year later.

  • 17. * According to the U.S. Census, as of 2008, Washington has an estimated population of 6,549,224. * Around 83% of the population lives in metropolitan Washington. * The three largest cities in Washington are Seattle , Spokane and Takoma. * Most of the population in Washington State is white. * The seven largest reported ancestries in Washington are: German, English, Irish, Norwegian, Mexican, African, and Filipino.
  • 18. WEST VIRGINIA -West Virginia in the year 2000 had a population of 1,808,344. -The population of West Virginia is formed by a very high percentage of old people. -The population grows up in Immigration. -The capital of West Virginia is Charleston.

If you go to Hawaii, you must do these activities: - Walk along the wonderful coral beaches. - View the Kilauea Volcano at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (Hawaii). - View the Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park (Hawaii). - Go to The Polynesian Cultural Centre (Oahu). - Ride on The sugar cane Train in Lahaina. - Visit The USS Arizona and USS Missouri memorials in Oahu’s Pearl Harbour .
  • 21. If you travel to Washington State, you must visit: * Hood Canal * Long Beach Peninsula * Mount Rainier National Park * Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument * Olympic National Park * Olympic Peninsula * Puget Sound * Seattle * San Juan Islands * Whidbey Island
  • 22. WEST VIRGINIA If you go to West Virginia, you must visit the next places: West Virginia Veterans Memorial Avampato Discovery Museum. State History Museum. Capitol Market. The Kanawha state forest . Children's theatre of Charleston. Governor's Mansion.
