  2. 2. GEOGRAPHY <ul><li>Greece is located on the south of the Balkan Peninsula. Greece has the tenth longest coastline in the world with 14.880 Km. </li></ul>
  3. 3. CLIMATE <ul><li>The climate of Greece can be categorised in three types (the Mediterranean, the Alpine and the Temperate), it depends of the region of the territory. </li></ul>
  4. 4. LANGUAGE <ul><li>Greek is their first or only language. 0.95% of population speak Turkish, Bulgarian and Romani. </li></ul>
  5. 5. FLAG <ul><li>Nine horizontal stripes, in turn blue and white; a white cross on a blue square </li></ul>
  6. 6. INHABITANTS <ul><li>In 2001 the population was 10.964.020 people. </li></ul><ul><li>In 2010 the population is 11.306.083 people. </li></ul>
  7. 7. CAPITAL AND OTHER CITIES <ul><li>The capital of Greece is Athens. And two of it’s more famous islands are Rhodes and Santorini. </li></ul>
  8. 8. MONUMENTS AND PLACES TO VISIT <ul><li>You can see a lot of landscapes, and visit a lot of historic monuments . </li></ul>
  9. 9. FOOD <ul><li>The oldest and most characteristic ingredient is olive oil, it’s present in almost all dishes. </li></ul>
  10. 10. POPULAR AND FAMOUS PEOPLE <ul><li>The most famous and popular people from Greece, are the ancient Greek gods. </li></ul>
