    The product of two negative numbers is not negative. It is positive.

    Same signs, the answer is positive. Different signs, the answer is negative.

  1. 11.4 Multiplying Integers Objective: Multiply Integers
  2. Positive Integer - Integers that are greater than 0. Negative Integer - Integers that are smaller than 0.
  3. How to Multiply Integers The product of two positive integers is positive. The product of two negative integers is negative. The product of a positive integer and a negative integer is negative. 3(5) = 15 -4(-6) = -24 2(-8) = -16
  4. So if either of the integers is negative, the answer is negative!
