Passwords <ul><li>Passwords stand between your private information and hackers </li></ul><ul><li>Weak passwords allow hackers easy access to your information by using special software to guess your password </li></ul><ul><li>Creating a strong password will take a hacker much longer to crack </li></ul>
  • 3. How To Make A Strong Password <ul><li>Strong passwords should be at least 8 characters long </li></ul><ul><li>They should include upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters </li></ul><ul><li>They should be changed regulary </li></ul>
  • 4. Special Characters <ul><li>Special Characters include !@#$%^&amp;*(),.?:”| and others </li></ul>
  • 5. Things to Avoid <ul><li>Do not use passwords that someone can easily guess </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Your birth date or age </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The school you attend </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Any part of your name or pets name </li></ul></ul>
  • 6. How Do You Remember A Strong Password? <ul><li>Write it down in a safe place </li></ul><ul><li>Use a password manager to keep track of all of your passwords </li></ul><ul><li>Create a sentence that you can base your password on to help you remember it </li></ul>
