How do you know something is moving?
Have you ever been on an amusement park ride
that does not move, yet you feel as if you are
racing through the scenery?
So, How do you know if
something is moving?
Motion is all about a
frame of reference.
When an object changes position over time when
compared to another object (reference point),
the object is in motion.
When in motion one can describe the
rate and direction of that motion.
A car traveled 600 kilometers in 8 hours
North from Atlanta, 300 kilometers in 4 hours
West, 600 kilometers in 8 hours South, 300
kilometers in 4 hours East. Where was the
car’s ending destination?
