  • 3. Early Life<br />Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 17,1706.<br />He had 17 siblings and was the 10th child.<br />He didn’t have much of an education, but he worked as a printer for his brother.<br />
  • 4. Writings<br />Benjamin Franklin wrote secret letters for his brother’s newspaper. He went by the name of Silence Dogood.<br />He also wrote the Poor Richard’s Almanac.<br />
  • 5. Place in The Enlightenment<br />Benjamin Franklin used the scientific method to discover the lightning rod.<br />He believed in using his own intelligence. He created the first volunteer fire department.<br />He started the Pennsylvania Academy & College, an art academy.<br />
  • 6. Most Interesting Fact<br />Benjamin Franklin came up with the quote, “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away.”<br />
