  • 2. Two types of tundra are Alpine Tundra and Arctic Tundra.
  • 3. The Arctic Tundra is a cold, vast, treeless area of low, swampy plains in the far north around the Arctic Ocean.
  • 4. Arctic Tundra includes the northern lands of Europe, Asia, and North America as well as most of Greenland.
  • 5. Alpine Tundra is a Tundra that is treeless because of high elevation rather than high altitude.
  • 6. Permanently frozen soil, subsoil, or other deposit, characterististics of Arctic and some subarctic regions similar conditions are also found at very high altitudes in the mountain ranges.
  • 7. 3 types are Arctic fox, Snowy owl, Arctic hares.
