  • 2. The two types of tundra are Alpine and Arctic Tundra.
  • 3. The Arctic Tundra is a vast, treeless area of low, swampy plains in the far North by the Arctic Ocean .
  • 4. The Arctic Tundra covers Europe, Asia, North America, and most of Greenland.
  • 5. Alpine Tundra is Tundra that is treeless of high elevation rather than high latitude .
  • 6. Permafrost is permanently frozen soil, subsoil, or other deposit, characteristic of arctic and some sub arctic regions; similar conditions are also found at very high altitudes in mountain regions.
  • 7. 3 animals that live in the Arctic Tundra are polar bears, Arctic Foxes, and caribou.
