        • swampy plains in the far north around the Arctic Ocean.
    • Lapland, and Scandinavia, Alaska, and Canada cover Arctic Tundra.
    • Alpine Tundra is a biome that exists at the tops of high mountains.
    • Permafrost is permanently frozen subsoil.
    • Three types of animals in the Arctic Tundra are Arctic foxes, caribou, and grey wolves.
