Double Tap• Tap an object twice in succession to effect a double- tap.• Double-taps are primarily used for zooming in or out on text, but third-party apps also use double-tap for various other functions.• Double-tap on a “Safari” screen zooms in and out.• Double-tap in iBook and it adds removes objects from the borders.5/23/2011 Jackson Public Schools 10

Tap, Hold and Drag• For some functions---such as highlighting text, coping and pasting, or deleting and moving apps---you’ll need to tap and hold down on the screen.• Dragging also comes into play for moving objects in apps, drawing, and swiping and flicking.5/23/2011 Jackson Public Schools 11
  12. 12. Flick and Swipe• Drag your finger across the screen---up, down, left or right---to swipe. This is the primary navigational tool in iOS.• A flick is a swipe only faster. The IPad supports inertial scrolling, which means the faster or slower you move your finger, the faster or slower content will move.5/23/2011 Jackson Public Schools 12

This is login that you use toaccess your school mail or login intoyour computer every morning.After entering you username, tapPassword box. Setting Up EmailTo get to this screen, tap the SettingsIcon from your home screen.Tap the Mail, Contacts, Calendars inthe list found on the left hand side.Tap Add Account….This produces a list of mail programs.The iPad can synchronize to anynumber of different accounts.For this case select MicrosoftExchange.5/23/2011 Jackson Public Schools 26
