  • English Language Arts : The study of language arts . The way we use language is changing. Does the art of language exist anymore? How do we study something, that by its very design is changing ?
  • English Language Arts : The purpose of this course has multiple goals: state-required curriculum goals, national-level learning goals, and life-long learning goals.
  • Curriculum Goals The current curriculum is outlined by the Georgia performance standards as set forth by the state of Georgia. Right now, the state is transitioning to a new national set of standards, the Common Core Standards.   • GRADE BREAKDOWN No Late homework is accepted
  • Long term assignments are accepted at 10% deduction per day; they will not be accepted after one week
  • Work done on personal or school owned computers is not excused late because of technical or mechanical failures with computers.
  • The work will still be considered late and reduced by 10%.

  • Credit will be given for make-up work if completed one day after an excused absence.
