  • 1. Life Cycle of a Chicken By Wen Di and Lin Xuan of Pri 3.9
  • 2. Life Cycle of a Chicken
    • The life cycle of a chicken starts as an egg. It takes about 3 weeks to become a chick. It takes about 3 months to become an adult chicken.
  • 3. Stages in its Life Cycle
    • The chicken egg has a hard shell. When the chick hatches, it will be tired and wet. After a few hours, its feathers will become dry and fluffy. When it becomes an adult chicken, it will lay eggs and the life cycle repeats itself.
  • 4. Hatching Eggs
    • Eggs must incubate for 21 days. Eggs are rotated for the first 18 days, and lay still for the last 3 days. A hole in the shell will be the first sign of hatching. The process may take a day.
