  4. 4. Goals for KindergartenReligion Makes the Sign of the Cross Recites prayers Have an understanding of the teachings of the Lord, Mass and Religious Symbols
  5. 5. Goals for KindergartenSocial Development Cooperates, works and plays well with others Helps others Displays self control Participates in activities Follows rules
  6. 6. Goals for KindergartenReading Objectives Identifies likes and differences in word forms. Recognizes rhyming words Name upper and lower case letters of the alphabet Reads sight words and color words Indicates where a sentence starts and ends and use left to right motion when reading

Goals for KindergartenMath Objectives Count to 100 by 1’s , 5’s, and 10’s. Count to 10 by 2’s. Recognize numbers to 30. Show sequencing to 30. Show one to one correspondence to 30. Correctly write numerals 0-30. Make patterns and graphs. Sort and measure simple objects. Do simple addition and subtraction problems

  11. 11. KindergartenHomework Every child will be provided with a personalized Yellow Homework Folder. Please help your child complete and return homework when it is due. Homework is an extension of your childs learning. This shows your child responsibility and commitment.
  12. 12. KindergartenCLASSROOM RULES Classroom rules are based on providing a safe learning environment that can be enjoyed by all students. WALK INSIDE! Why---to keep our body safe from bumps & bruises USE AN INSIDE VOICE! Why---loud noises hurt our ears & its hard to think & learn! BE KIND! Why---doing something kind feels GOOD to us & to our friends! FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! Why---so you can learn new things & know how to stay safe! USE WORDS, DONT HIT OR HURT OTHERS! Why---so people know what you need & can listen to you!
  13. 13. KindergartenDISCIPLINE PLAN Discipline will be conducted based on their behavior in the classroom, recess, and during classes with other teachers. If student does not comply by the classroom rules then they will move their behavior card accordingly: Green : Great! Yellow : Warning Orange: 5 min. of time out from recess. Red: Note/or Call home. Severe Offense: Principal Referral
