  2. 2. Medicine Authorization <ul><li>All and any medication needs be authorized by your parents and your physician. This includes all prescriptions and all over-the-counter medications, even vitamins. </li></ul><ul><li>A new form, Yosemite Medicine Authorization, was passed out with an instruction sheet. This is in addition to the CUSD medicine authorization. </li></ul><ul><li>Please visit the web-site on Medicine Authorization Info to few all the details. </li></ul><ul><li>Please try to have all forms completed by mid-February </li></ul>

Typical Day Typical Schedule Crane Flat – check the board daily for updates キ 7:00 a.m. Wake Up キ 7:30 a.m. Breakfast キ 8:30 a.m. Gather in Hiking Groups キ Return to Camp (between 3:00-4:30) キ Rest/Play/Journal Time キ Dinner (Depends – Between 5:00-6;00) キ 7:00 p.m. Evening Program キ Journal/bathroom time キ 10: 00 p.m. Lights Out Typical Schedule (check board) Valley– キ 6:30 a.m. Wake Up キ 7:00-7:30 a.m. Breakfast – Dining Pavilion キ 8:30 Gather in Hiking Groups near Basketball court in Boys Town キ Return to Camp (between 3:00-4:30) キ Rest/Play/Shop/Journal Time キ Dinner (Start time depends on your rotation (between 5:00 & 6:00)) キ 6:45-7:45 p.m. Leave for Evening Program (Varies by Rotation) キ 8:30- Finish journal, get ready for bed. キ 9:30 p.m. In Cabins for the night キ 10:00 p.m. Lights Out – Quiet Time
  4. 4. Common Questions <ul><li>When will we have time to shower? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>In the valley, you can shower before breakfast, or during your afternoon break. Typically you do not have time in the evening. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>At Crane Flat, there are posted student bathroom times and typically morning showers are not feasible. </li></ul></ul>
  5. 5. More Common Questions <ul><li>Will we spend the day with our cabin group? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>You are with your hiking group during the day and during the evening program. You are not in a hiking group with people from your cabin. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>You are with your cabin group on the bus, for breakfast and for dinner. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>During free time you can spend time with others so long as you are not in their cabin. Typically students spend time outside on the porch, at the picnic tables or at the store with anyone they choose. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>No matter where you go, you NEVER go by yourself. </li></ul></ul>

More Common Questions <ul><li>What types of activities will we do during the day? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>You leave at 8:30 with your hiking group and return around 3-4. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>During that time you enjoy: </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Hikes and studies of the environment around you. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Outdoor science experiments </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Games and group challenges. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>A challenging hike where you might climb between 1000 and 2000 feet off the valley floor </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Cross-country skiing </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Time to write in your journal and reflect on your experience. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Visits to historical locations in the park. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Stewardship projects. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Group lunch on the trail. </li></ul></ul></ul>
