  • 1. Yosemite Lunch Meeting 1-21-10 Behavior Expectations and Consequences REI Coupon Presented by Mrs. Enright and Ms. Hucko
  • 2. Behavior Expectations
    • You and your parents signed two Behavior Contracts. (pink forms)
    • You can review another copy if you need to review the rules carefully before you leave
      • Forms folder
    • You are responsible for following all these expectations at all times.
  • 3. Reasons for Proper Behavior
    • You represent
      • Yourself
      • Your family
      • The school
      • The district
    • We are guests to the Park and to the Yosemite Institute and we want to come back year after year.
    • We want you to be safe and have fun at the same time.
  • 4. Some Highlights
    • Follow the trail instructions from your Y.I. Leader
      • Hike in single file
      • Stay on the trail
      • Participate fully
    • NO food in the bus or in your cabin.
  • 5. More Highlights
    • You are NOT allowed in any cabin except your own.
    • Be on time and ready when asked.
      • You have an assigned eating time and an assigned evening program time
    • NO Cell phones and other electronics (see list for exceptions.)
    • Never leave camp alone for any reason. Always move from place to place in the park with a buddy.
  • 6. Consequences
    • Your parents signed an agreement to pick you up if you are not following the behavior contract.
      • This will be a very long four-hour ride home.
      • Your parents will lose all the money they spent on you for this trip.
      • You won’t be able to enjoy the rest of the trip with your friends.
  • 7. More on Consequences
    • There are NO second chances.
    • This is NOT the time to test the rules.
    • WE HAVE sent students home before for not following the rules.
    • All disallowed electronics (even if turned off) will be confiscated and returned when we return to school.
      • This means you may not get your cell phone back until a few days after we return from the trip.
  • 8. REI Coupon
    • REI has an area of the store at Saratoga and Prospect with equipment that you will need for the trip, and assistance.
    • You can see them for advice.
    • If you buy the equipment there, some items are discounted with the coupon.
  • 9. Other
    • Bottle group is meeting this week with Mr. Esparza.
    • Before school food sales is meeting with Mrs. Holtzapple this week.
    • If you believe you are on the wait list, please see Mrs. Enright. (She has GOOD news for you!)
