    • Can change color
    • Can change gender
    • Can change shape
    • ~When the dominate male dies, the dominate female will change gender,color, and shape, to become the male, taking over his role for the benefit of the school.
  • 4. FUN FACT!
    • The beach you love may be made by a parrotfish! In other words, it could be poop!
  • 5. Doesn’t look very pretty, now does it?
    • The parrot fish is named after it’s beak-like face.
    • It has large fused teeth and sharper teeth in it’s throat to grind coral.
  • 6. FUN FACT!
    • There was once thought of 350 species of parrotfish due to their constant changing form, now it’s thought of more around 80.
  • 7. Where Do I Find It?
    • The parrotfish's natural home is in coral reefs.
    • In Shedd Aquarium, the parrotfish is located in the Caribbean reef and Waters of the World exhibit.
  • 8. FUN FACT!
    • The parrotfish eats a lot in the day and cloaks it’s scent from predators in the night!
