Why crime prevention is important to me?<br />Crime is one of the major problems in todays society.<br />It is important to investigate crime because it negatively affects people.<br />I hoped to learn of more ways on how to reduce crime and explore the main resons why people do not follow the law. <br />
Thesis Statement<br />Throughout the research I was focused on:<br />the causes why people commit crime<br />how to help people stop commiting crime<br />whom does crime affect<br />
Why do people commit crime?<br />Lack of work (no money)<br />Adrenalin<br />Boredom<br />Hunger<br />Mental illness<br />Force of others<br />”Poverty is the mother of <br />crime”. -Marcus Aurelius<br />
How can crime be prevented?<br />Community service<br />After school activities<br />Influence of others<br />Education<br />Job training programs<br />
Whom does crime affect?<br />Everyone <br />Family members <br />Neighbors<br />Friends<br />Rich and poor (all races)<br />Indeed, history is nothing <br />more than a tableau of <br />crimes and misfortunes. <br />-Voltaire (1694 - 1778)<br />
Conclusion<br />Crime affects everyone and happens for many reasons.There are many ways to prevent crime.<br />It is not worth to be a criminal. Punishment awaits everyone who breaks the law. However, citizens of this country break laws knowing that punishment will evenually be put upon them. Why are people still doing this?<br />
