  • Leukemia
    • Leukemia is a type of cancer of the blood or bone marrow characterized by an abnormal increase of white blood cells.
    • An estimated 259,889 people in the United States are living with, or are in remission from, leukemia.
  • Signs & Symptoms
    • Leukemia symptoms vary on the type of leukemia, but a few common symptoms include:
      • Fever or chills
      • Persistent fatigue or weakness
      • Bone pain or tenderness
      • Excessive sweating
      • Frequent infections
  • The Causes of Leukemia
    • No truly known cause but scientists believe that a few factors that contribute to Leukemia are:
      • Damaging of white blood cells (WBCs)
      • Abnormal growth of white blood cells
      • Crowding of abnormal cells
