    A skill is the purpose of movement
    A skill is an action you do or a movement you perform when taking part in an activity

    Badminton
    Basketball
    Football
    Gymnastics
    Trampolining
    Serve, clear
    Pass, shoot, dribble
    Pass, shoot, tackle
    Roll, balance, vault
    Bounce, rotations, landings
  • 4. What is a technique?
    A technique is a way of performing a skill
    Examples…
    Basketball – Passing (chest, bounce)
    Basketball – Shooting (lay-up, set shot)
  • 5. Task – for the following skills, name two techniques
    Football – passing
    Badminton – clear
    Table tennis – push
  • 6. Why use different techniques?
    Football – I used a header to pass the ball because the ball came to me above shoulder height and I didn’t have time to let it come down to my feet
