How do you practice a skill?<br />Whole part whole<br />Practicing all of the skill then practicing a part of the skill before putting back into the whole skill again.<br />Leaner can concentrate on one part of the skill at a time<br />One part is learned it can be tried in the full skill<br />Process can be repeated<br />
  3. 3. Example<br />Front crawl<br />Whole – leaner tries full stroke<br />Part – learner does practices to improve elbow position in arm action, bringing fingers to armpit on each stroke<br />Whole – learner tries full stroke again with improved arm action<br />
