  • British and European Safety signs
  • Danger Identification
      • Used to identify the perimeter of a hazard.
      • The stripes are BLACK and YELLOW or can be ORANGE .
  • Fire fighting
      • Identifies fire alarms, extinguishers etc.
      • RED square background with WHITE writing or diagram.
  • Mandatory
      • Gives orders e.g. eye protection must be worn.
      • BLUE circular sign with WHITE writing or diagram.
  • Prohibition
      • Prevention e.g. no smoking
      • WHITE circular background with RED border and cross bar.
  • Safe condition
      • Indicates safety points e.g. first aid, fire exit etc.
      • GREEN square background with WHITE writing or diagram
  • Warning
      • Identifies dangers e.g. danger of electric shock.
      • YELLOW triangle with BLACK border and BLACK writing or diagram.
