    • We love this type of music, that is rock, and
    • we have known this group for a long time.
    • Red Hot Chili Peppers is very original and
    • their songs aren’t simple. They play a lot of
    • different instruments, and they have a very
    • big band.

  • PROFILE OF THE BAND Red Hot Chili Peppers are an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. The current members of the band are lead singer Anthony Kiedis, guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, bassist Michael "Flea" Balzary, and drummer Chad Smith.
    • They all met at his high school years in Fairfax High School in Hollywood, California.
    • In1988, guitarist Hillel Slovak died of a heroin overdose.
  • Their musical style blends traditional rock with elements of other genres like funk, punk rock, and psychedelic rock.
  • Who has played in the band?
    • Most of the existence of the band were vocalist Anthony Kiedis, guitarrist Jonh Fruscinte, bassist Michael “Flea” Balzary, and drummer Chad Smith.
    • Guitarist John Frusciante left the band in 2009 for wanting to continue his  solitairecareer, and was replaced by Josh Klinghoffer.
