  • 4. <ul><li>Turn to page #14 in your spiral. You should have a page that looks like the one the teacher will show you </li></ul>
  • 5. Turn to the person next to you and talk about what you think adaptation means.
  • 6. <ul><li>The process of changing your way of life to match different conditions or environments </li></ul>
  • 7. <ul><li>Draw a picture of someone adapting to their environment. </li></ul>
  • 8. <ul><li>Look back through your spiral and list the activities we’ve done in class where we’ve learned about adaptation </li></ul>
  • 9. Turn to the person next to you and talk about what you think environment means.
  • 10. <ul><li>The surroundings in which a person or group of people live. Includes: Climate, altitude, food/water supply and landforms. </li></ul>

Rate Your Knowledge <ul><li>For each of the three words we’ve gone over today, you are going to rate your knowledge on a scale from 1-5. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>If you really understand this word and could teach it to others and write an entire paragraph explaining what it is with examples, rate yourself a 5 . </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>If you understand this word and could explain to a classmate what it means, rate yourself a 4 </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>If you understand what this definition means and could answer a question about it on a test, rate yourself a 3. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>If you have a general understanding about what this word means, but you have some questions, rate yourself a 2 </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>If you are totally confused by what this word means and don’t understand it at all, rate yourself a 1. </li></ul></ul>
  • 18. <ul><li>Make sure your reflection questions for Tuesday and Thursday have been answered. </li></ul><ul><li>Finish any part of your presentation that needs to be finished. </li></ul><ul><li>Work on your essentials sheet . Can you answer the guiding questions on page #15? Could you find all of the places on the list? Do you know what a political and physical map are? </li></ul>
