    • Leonardo da Vinci was a painter, sculptor, inventor, architect, musician and engineer

    • Was interested in human anatomy. He opened up dead people to see how muscles and bones worked

    • Leonardo da Vinci is most known for his painting The Mona Lisa which was painted from 1503-1506
    • The Mona Lisa is one of the most famous paintings in the world

    • Leonardo da Vinci is also known for his painting The Last Supper which was painted in 1495.
    • The painting shows the last meal shared by Jesus with his disciples before his capture and death

    • Michelangelo was an Italian sculptor, painter, poet, and architect

    • He is most famous for his painting of the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel in Rome, which he painted from 1508-1512

    • Michelangelo is also known for his huge marble statue that he sculptured of David
    • The sculpture stood 14 feet and 3 inches tall.

    • Raphael was a painter and architect. He was the youngest out of Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo
  • 15. Achievements
    • Raphael’s most famous paintings is called The School of Athens. It shows famous Greek thinkers and scientists, such as Plato and Aristotle

    • Raphael was also known for was the painting called the Sistine Madonna. The painting is known for the strange facial expressions on Mary and the child of Jesus.

    • Sofonisha Anguissola was the most known of women painters during the Renaissance

    • Sofonisha’s painting below created in 1555, is of her sister Lucia, who was also a painter and her younger sister Europa playing chess
