  • Moderator:Welcome and thank you for joining us today for this 30 minute exclusive webinarIn a few minutes, you are going to be hearing from Realtor.com’s Chief Product Officer, Scott Boecker. Before we begin, let me run you quickly through some basic information on how to have a better webinar experience. Right now, you should be seeing a welcoming (agenda?) slide on your screen and a small control panel on the right. The control panel has controls for audio – you should be able to adjust volume to a comfortable level here – in addition to the controls your individual computer offers that can be adjusted as well. If you are still having trouble hearing, select the telephone option and to receive instructions on how to dial in using your phone. This webinar is also being recorded, and in XX hours, you’ll be sent a link enabling you to watch the archived recording. At the top left of your control panel you should see two little arrows pointing right – by clicking these arrows, you can collapse the control panel so that you can just sit back and enjoy the webinar. If you want to get the panel back, just click them again and it will re-open.At the end of today’s presentation, Mr. Boecker will host a question and answer session with the remaining time. Now, without further delay, it’s my pleasure to introduce Scott Boecker, Chief Product Officer at Realtor.com / Move, Inc.
  • Boecker:The Realtor.com iPhone app provides all the power and depth of the online or traditional Realtor.com “browser-experience” in a convenient, portable form on the iPhone and the iPod Touch. It’s the only real estate search iPhone that has access to the largest collection of real estate properties – for sale and rental homes – on Realtor.com. That’s over 4 million properties available for consideration instantly at your finger tips anytime, any place at your convenience.Another benefit exclusive to the Realtor.com app is that all of the listings you’ll be looking at via this iPhone app are the most accurate, freshest and up to date listings available because most Realtor.com listings are updated every 15 minutes -- rather than days as is the case with our competitors. This means users will have up to the minute information on nearby properties such as price changes, new photos, property descriptions and more, giving them more negotiating power and knowledge to make better decisions as they’re touring a home. And of course, we’ve integrated a variety of convenient ways into the app to connect instantly with a Realtor or to make inquiriesAlso important to point out is that it’s free and we have no plans at this time to offer a more advanced paid version. This is a real, purpose-built iPhone app that uses all the iPhone functionalities that we’ve come to love and combines them with the search power of Realtor.com including:Locate nearby Homes For Sale and Open Houses on the goRate and save personal notes on each property within the appSync with your Realtor.com account to access saved searches and listingsSave a new search or favorite listing for easy access or updates laterShare properties with family, friends, & Realtors via email, Facebook,TwitterSo, in other words…or in real life…we now have the ability to locate nearby homes or open houses, drive or walk to themusing using the iPhone’s GPS navigational feature, take a picture using the iPhone’s photo feature, take notes and savepersonal ratings for each property so you can remember everything, and then send a link, the notes and the photo to family, friends and your Realtor via email, Twitter and/or Facebook.
  • Boecker:Thank you and it’s my pleasure to be here today to preview the first product that will be launched in 2010 by Realtor.com and Move, Inc., - the Realtor.com Real Estate Search iPhone app. Each of you were individually selected and invited to attend this special -- and brief -- webinar today because we consider you to be one of the country’s most influential journalists, bloggers or reviewers. We know your opinions are very important to your readers…and more importantly to us at Realtor.com. I wanted you to be one of the first to take a look at the app and ask me any questions about it and its features. At the end of today’s event, I hope you’ll consider sharing your opinions with your readers. Oh, and by the way, we will be launching the app tomorrow with a national multi-media campaign.I thought we’d start today with a guided tour of the app as if you were out in your own community looking for a home or an open house. Before we embark on our adventure, I want to point out a few important features about this newest application.Go to Slide 4
