What is Redis?  Redis is an open source, advanced key- value store. It is often referred to as a data structure server since keys can contain strings, hashes, lists, sets and sorted sets.

What is Redis?  NoSQL  In-memory  Lightning-Fast (~100,000 queries / sec)  Lightweight (30k lines)  Persistence with async disk backup  Written for Linux

Why would you want it in Azure? Cheap for large (> 30 queries/sec) number of small queries: •Counters (Overall and Unique) •Ranks •Queues •Publish/Subscribe Has optional TTL for each key: •Caching
