Samsung Reclaim Cell Phone Is 40% Corn David Novak The Gadget Guy - Presentation Transcript

    1. Samsung Reclaim CellPhone is 40% Corn “David Novak (The GadgetGUY) is a syndicated columnist who reviews and features the latest in consumer technology. For cutting-edge information on what’s hot and what’s new in gadgets and gizmos , The GadgetGUY has his pulse on everything related to computers, camcorders, car tech, cameras, gaming, GPS devices, networking, TVs, software, wireless devices, media players, hi-fi, wi- fi, cell phones, home appliances, sports science, power tools and more. Green is in, there’s no doubt about that. The Samsung Reclaim M560's bio-plastic housing is made from corn, the highly efficient Energy Star charger uses 12 times less energy than the Energy Star standard and its packaging is made from 70% recycled material and printed with soy ink. Sprint is putting their money where their mouth is as well, for every Reclaim sold $2 will be donated to The Nature Conservancy’s Adopt an Acre program.
    2. Enjoy Sprint's One Click interface, which gives you a customizable carousel of tabs to quickly access key features like Sprint Navigation and the Sprint Music Store, as well as your favorite social networks like Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. The Samsung Reclaim is a very capable mid-tier feature phone that has a roomy QWERTY keyboard, GPS with Sprint Navigation, built-in Bluetooth with A2DP, a 2 megapixel camera that takes good photos, and a microSD card slot that works with high capacity cards. The Samsung also works on Sprint’s 3G EV-DO network and has great Sprint TV performance. This CDMA digital phone is exclusive to Sprint. The Samsung Reclaim comes in two colors: Earth Green and Ocean Blue. The 2.4” display has QVGA resolution and supports 260K colors. It has a built-in 3.5mm stereo headset jack and a volume rocker on the left side. The microSD card slot lives on the right side of the phone along with the charging/syncing port and the dedicated camera button. The mono speakerphone lives on the back, and a phone charm holder sits on the top left corner. If you feel guilty about not driving a hybrid car, it least you can contribute to the "Green" effort with your communication device. The Samsung Reclaim is a strong competitor among the sea of QWERTY phones and offers good multimedia, GPS and navigation as well as a decent web experience. Sprint’s One Click interface is a plus and the introductory price of $49.99 with a 2-year contract after rebate is attractive. (www.samsung.com, www.sprint.com) www.thegadgetguycolumn.com
