    Flipcams, iTouch, Xbox Kinex, and Wii, iPad, iPod, SMART Board and SMART Table
  • 2. Flipcams
    Easy to use for recording material, and creating presentations
    Students can see their performance to improve communication skills
    Can be used in a FACS classroom to record demonstrations and group activities
    Need parent permission to film students
    Shy students will not like to be recorded

    Good for individual or self learning.
    Smaller then the iPad
    Hard for students with small motor skills or big fingers

  • 4. Xbox Kinex and Wii
    Can be used within FACS classroom to support learning such as
    Health and exercise
    Learning sports
    Can be used in other classrooms for same reasons.
    Can only be used for small group, would need many consoles to suit whole class, or they would have to take turns.

    3 Apps for Parenting and Child Development:
    Baby Center Birth Class- labor and birth class online for extra support (rate: 5 of 5)
    My Pregnancy Today- Shows the development of baby at different stages of pregnancy (rate:5 of 5)
    Phony Phone- baby toy dial and play (rate: 3 of 5, baby could exit app easily)

    This can be integrated into my professional development or curriculum by:
    Playing music during individual work

    I do not see for highschool, but for younger students it is nice.
