6. 6. There are few young British artists with the international reputation and status of Nate James, with two critically acclaimed albums and an established live reputation. But in his home territory and in North America in particular, so much more is still possible given the right investment and partners being put in place.
 7. 7. Opportunities for Growth

Tour Support

You only have to see Nate James live to appreciate his amazing talent and star potential . He has that elusive ‘it’ factor. He has already won over many fans through support slots with established soul acts but the next stage would be to put him in front of mainstream audiences in the US & UK as support on a big pop tour. Touring with his band is expensive and we require investment to grow his fanbase and mainstream appeal in this way.

Further radio & tv promotion

We have won over the gatekeepers at all the major UK radio networks and several key tv producers. The main obstacle we come across is that as an independent artist Nate is often overlooked in place of less established/respected acts with major label backing. With an upstreamed setup in the UK we would be able to convert interest and awareness into action and regular exposure.

Advertising

Many people know the name Nate James without knowing his music. Many people know his music without knowing who it is by. Research and advertising would combine with an enhanced promotional push to further build , enhance and motivate the fanbase and attract new buyers.

North American launch

Nate’s music has massive potential in the US and he is destined to be a truly global star. We already have agents at ICM Talent wanting to represent and helped secure live dates. With his music already being seeded out there through the in-store play , TV advert soundbed & film inclusions the time is right to launch in the US. His dual citizenship thanks to his American father will prove to be very useful.

 8. 8. Press Quotes

On Nate:

“ I’m a big admirer of Nate James and his work ethic. To have attained his status in the game on an independent label is huge achievement in the current industry climate” Mr Drew, Echoes – Sep 07

“ Nate James is a bona fide international star” Billboard

“ The King of UK Soul” Radio 1 Online

On the album Kingdom Falls:

“ A second album of gloriously ambitious R&B from a young British songwriter who seems destined to be a big star. Outta My Head is a Massive Attack-like masterpiece while Choke would melt the coldest of hearts. Highly Recommended” Sunday Express

" Fantastic… blends squeaking synths and rapid percussive effects with lush string arrangements… also employs dashes of Prince-style funk, jazz and poppy hip-hop and should bring James the recognition he deserves" The Times

"A lush and masterful collection of songs" The Daily Record

"Warm, honey-lovely vocals set against syncopated beats and twitchy electronica" Metro

“ One to watch” News of the World

“ A real standout” Mixmag

"Flawless vocal performance and great melody"

“ High Times has a great hook and is very radio friendly” The Hit Sheet

“ A delicious slice of soul with drum & bass and house sprinkled on top” Touch Magazine on new single High Times

On the live experience:

“ Sunny sweetness and intricate melodies justifying comparisons with his hero Maxwell .
