    1. How To Install Low Voltage Deck Lights and Post Caps Installing the transformer. Click the next slide to view the video on how to wire the transformer. When wiring the transformer, just put one side of the wire into A and one into B. If you are using a Professional Transformer you will put one side into the "Common" hole and one into the 12V hole.
