Code Signing To distribute an application for use on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, Developers must first sign their applications. The signing process adds cryptographic hash values to the application package (BAR file) which help verify the authorship of the application to other users and the BlackBerry® Tablet OS. Developers need to request Code Singing Keys from RIM at: https://www.blackberry.com/SignedKeys/rimKeys.do. Developer cannot install and run unsigned applications on a secure device unless they have a so called debug token installed A debug Token is a signed bar file once installed on the device will allow to develop and debug unsigned application on secure PlayBook hardware device.
