Recently modeFinance has conducted a sector analysis of the District of Digital Technologies,a company based in Udine province (Italy) gathering more than 800 companies involved in Information and communications technology (ICT) and NewTech sectors.
According to the studies, the following conclusions can be reached:
1.Sectors with high degree of technological innovation have been considerably less affected by the economic crisis.
2.Sectors with high degree of technological innovation lead to profitability levels which are generally higher than those of other sectors.
3.The profitability achieved has a strong correlation with the company size: larger companies tend to reach higher profitability.
4.If any, a positive outcome of the economic crisis has been the fact that the average indebtedness of the companies is reducing.
