"Molehill" is the codename for a new set of low-level, GPU-accelerated 3D APIs for the Flash Player.
Cross platform secure access to the GPU
Based on OpenGL ES 2 capabilities
Can be used for 3D
Or 2D
Relies on DirectX 9, OpenGL 1.3 and OpenGL ES 2

Molehill was designed with the following criteria's in mind:

Programmable only (not FFP)

FLASH AND AIR INCUBATOR PROGRAM
The AIR and Flash Player Incubator is a place for the Adobe Flash Runtimes team to share with developers features that are under development or experimental in order to get early participation, testing, and feedback from the community.

The incubator including the Molehill API goes live on Adobe Labs 30 minutes from now at 10:00 AM.
