  7. 7. ITCS! <ul><li>It’s The Customer , Stupid! </li></ul><ul><li>What really matters is that we make our customers happy and enthousiast. </li></ul><ul><li>All the rest is either helping (yay!) </li></ul><ul><li>or obstructing (boo!) </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>Focus on what you want to achieve, THEN figure out the best method. </li></ul><ul><li>Our members don’t need to adapt to our methods. </li></ul><ul><li>We need to adapt our methods </li></ul><ul><li>to them . </li></ul>

  10. 10. Social <ul><li>There is a conversation going on. Don’t try to lead it. You are just one participant. </li></ul><ul><li>Be humble and willing to learn. </li></ul><ul><li>Listen > Respond > Fix > Improve </li></ul><ul><li>Initiate </li></ul><ul><li>Rinse and repeat </li></ul>

  19. 19. <ul><li>About 1 in 6 of our customers follow us on Twitter. </li></ul><ul><li>About 5 in 6 don’t. </li></ul>
  20. 20. So... <ul><li>So how do we keep those three in four and five in six happy? </li></ul><ul><li>By engaging them the way THEY want to be engaged. </li></ul>
  21. 21. And guess what <ul><li>Members consume both offline and online. </li></ul><ul><li>See a newspaper article, tweet about it, share it on facebook, write a blogpost. </li></ul>
