    • A personal timeline of educational technology
    • Overview
    • Educational technology is a way to reach, teach, and connect people around the world using every possible technologies available (computers, blogs, streaming media, videos, etc.). Educational technology provides knowledge and hope to all who seek it regardless of any boundaries, whether it be age, race, location and/or disabilities.
    • Web sites on ed tech history
    • Kindergarten technology
      • Back when things cost 5 cents (kidding), we didn’t have any computers in kindergarten! We had projectors , chalk boards, and books!
    • High school technology
      • In high school during the 90s, we had computers, projectors, floppy discs, and VHS tapes!
    • College technology
    • A vivid technology learning experience
      • Actually, taking a class entirely online as I am doing for this ETEC class is truly a vivid technological learning experience for me.
      • It has opened up a whole new world of websites, ideas, and tools I never knew existed.
    • A technology I want to use in my classroom
      • I would love to be able to use the tablet PC with the software called Calico in the classroom for that would allow mobility as well as instant connectivity to students around the world. Here is an example found on Youtube from UC Irvine (click black box to play). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_t2hBzPDy8 :
    • My vision of the classroom of the future
    • A challenge for teaching
      • I see budget and monetary challenges and continual cutbacks on Education as a barrier to technology. If there is no money available for computers, monitors, etc., using educational technology becomes more challenging and the students and institution risk falling behind .
    • Words of wisdom
      • The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts. – C.S. Lewis
